To the simplicity of assembly it was quite easy. Took me all of 3 hours to put together. Was a fun little project to try and figure out how to import the printer into Cura. I have bought several rolls of filament for this printer because I find it to be amazing at the worksmanship that it can produce. I have been having fun for the past few months working on all different sizes and details of 3d prints. I would highly suggest buying this printer if you have the money and the time to experiment with different settings. I feel like a true maker with this little guy in my house.

This is my first 3D printer and I love it so far. Update: There was a bit less than half the filament left after the test print from the SD card. That test-dog print took 11 hours 22 minutes. The manufacturer, in the future, might want to leave out the base which took almost seven and a half hours alone.

We are new to 3D printing, bought the Ender5. It was a pretty easy set up, MAKE SURE TO CHANGE TO 115V if in the USA. The first few things we printers were great. We had to watch a bunch of YouTube videos on how to level the bed, because the options in the book were not the same as what we got. Also advertised that it comes with 5 nozzles and it clearly did not! There is a lot to get to know, it’s a huge learning curve. I would buy again, but I would buy one that is a bit more user friendly for beginners.

Initially, I had a rough start with this printer. I took my time and assembled it properly. Bed leveling took a little time, but I got it dialed in and started sending test prints for further tweaking. The printer began rebooting and freezing mid print. Since I am a 3d printing newb, I notified TRONXY about the issue. While I waiting on a reply, I determined that the included flash drive was failing. The gcode data would literally stop mid print because the card was failing reads. I replaced the card and all is well now. TRONXY was fast to respond as well.

This is a great printer I’m really impressed. I’ve had it for a couple weeks and it’s fantastic. The only hiccups were that as soon as I powered it up I got some kind of error and it just needed a firmware flash. I’ve also had some adhesion issues which I fixed with applying glue stick to the bed before each print (I might try the glass upgrade). I found the bed to be not level in the very center but raising it a bit extra has given me great prints.

The assembly was quick and easy. The printer is solid and well designed. The weaknesses are in the electronics. The controller has very limited expansion available and TRONXY used cheap stepper motor driver chips. Driver chips are solders to the board reather than plug in. Want to upgrade, buy a new board from TRONXY with the better chips! The controller works well.

I’ll start this off by saying that I do professional level printing, and own multiple printers. I can take these apart and put them back together in my sleep, so what is easy for me may be a challenge to a hobbyist, but trust me - this is easier to put together than the X5SA-400.

So to start with this is a GREAT printer, it prints well and is quiet. HOWEVER the printer blocks up a lot due to a bad sitting filament feeding tube. you have to maintain this printer to a higher standard then others. Once you get to grips with the flaw its certainly one of the best out there., prints are smooth and strong out the box.

This is the perfect entry level 3D printer, it’s totally affordable and does a great job printing if you take care of it. It does take a little while to set up, but wasn’t all that difficult to figure out, I think it’s pretty easy to use.this is a great value printer for a super reasonable price.

My only issue with this printer came about 2 weeks after use when I noticed the filament was cutting a rut into the plastic extruder arm. This is the main reason I ended up switching to an aluminum extruder. Other than that, this printer continues to be a workhorse and a very fun hobby.
